Amidst a successful run with Google Android powering most Samsung devices, the company is shifting towards their own open source-ish, Linux-based Tizen platform. The follow up to the original Samsung Gear has a 1GHz dual-core chip, 2 megapixel camera, 4GB of storage, 512 of memory, gyroscope, accelerometer, fitness tracking, heart rate monitor, app, email and text notifications, Bluetooth 4.0,  serves as a media player remote and probably more I am forgetting. However, if you actually just want to know the time, the Samsung Gear 2 is also watch.
