Beautiful textures, sustainable, built to last, All-American and made for comfort are ways you can describe the next-to-skin wool clothing from Rambler’s Way Farm. This 100% American made long sleeve Henley shirt is perfect to wear on those causal days that have crisp and potent winds that command your respect. The Henley is superfine wool so you can wear it without the itching or scratching usually associated with wool clothing. The popularity of military inspired clothing has increased in recent years. This is traditionally the case whenever a country is involved in war. However, despite the political reasons for the shift in clothing design, military inspired clothing also looks damn good!
Take this Polo Ralph Lauren Classic-Fit Linen Ranger Shirt for example, it has clean lines, properly compliments the physique and is utilitarian as this linen shirt can swing with khakis, cargo pants or a fresh pair of denim.
After oogling over the Brookklands Hooded Rugby, I ventured over to the sale section of RL’s rugby.com only find more goodies. What better way to save during this global financial fiasco than to buy (when you need to) clothes on sale. For me, one highlight of the Ralph Lauren sale is the Clifton Waffle Crewneck. The shirt is simple and something that can work in your wardrobe plain or casual, dressed up or down and is also great foundation piece to build up from for a layered look. Other Ralph Lauren men’s sale items I spotted include Solid Fleece Hoodie, and several longsleeve rugby shirts.
Dress shirts in my opinion do not have chest pockets, however common thought, marketing and other factors seem to have voted otherwise, leaving my opinion in the minority.
Whatever your line of thinking is, if you don’t require the need for shirts priced in the three figure range at the office, Nordstrom’s is giving the house brand a 50 percent reduction in price, making a few dress shirts less than twenty bucks ($19.90 to be exact).
A perfect price for office newbies or managers caught in the field and factories more often than the cocktail lounge. The offerings include a straight collar classic version and a button-down variation.
Limited run premium pique polos made exclusively for Oki-Ni by Adidas. Three colorways are available, but we like the Punjab. The polo matches the Rod Laver Vintage shoe and is limited to only 100 for each color. That means you have no time to fumble around. Get it while you can.
Here are a few of the dress shirts currently available from Ted Baker. You can choose from several styles including thin-striped, herringbone, block-stripe and textured. Gentlemen, use the choice of colors to your advantage and turn the plain into the exotic!
Keep in mind that the effective use of color shows confidence as well as a sense of style to the partners you wish to attract, both in the boardroom and the bedroom.
I was reading an article over at the Times because for some odd reason I was looking for “Kryptonite” and the article detailing Lebrons defeat / Pistons win and I noticed the ad for Polo Ralph Lauren underwear.
Well obviously I clicked, none of the boxers, briefs or boxer-briefs caught my attention but I figured since I made the journey I might as well click and see what else is going on. I clicked the “Big Pony is Back” link, of course the Big Pony has been back for a bit but I really like the Long Sleeved Custom and the Big Pony Hooded Fleece.
I know they both go against my norm for hating large logos adorning clothes and free advertising, but the guy with crossed arms stood out and the hoody (yes hoody) really stood out for some reason. Too bad you can’t custom thse because I would most definitely like to see them in solid colors with a matching Big Pony.
Burberry Golf has an Argyle Polo with raglan sleeves that recently caught my eye. The thing I like about this polo shirt is the logo is not so pronounced, as it is on the sleeve. Even still while on the sleeve it is subtle. I usually don’t agree with many polos as they are either over done, too baggy, too tight or don’t seem to sit right on the upper frame.
This polo from Burberry with its casual look and nice design has somehow found a balance while not begging for too much attention, which is something I look for. One draw back is the Equestrian Knight logo inside the three-button placket. I would think this is here for urban appeal. If so, it is too much as one logo would have been sufficient. Needless to say most men don’t go around wearing polos completely unbuttoned, so it should not be a bother. A nickel short of two-bills.
Whether you call it basic or call it a classic,, the Ralph Lauren Polo is an essential in the wardrobe. It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or if you are an old veteran when it comes to fashion, at some point you must either own or have owned a some form of this shirt. If you’re a virgin start with this Navy and Antique White variation. If you are one of those who ventured away to sample other garments do yourself a favor and relive the memory of the shirt that defies timelines and finds itself at home around the world, the Ralph Lauren Polo.
