Early Development begins for Flash on the iPhone

Adobe

All the big names are coming. Anybody important is going to be there. Where to, you ask? To your mobile phone, of course.

Adobe, known for Acrobat, Photoshop and for acquiring Macromedia, and its mainstay, Flash, is looking to move in on the mobile market.

While in Finland visiting Nokia, Shantanu Narayen stated, “We expect mobile to increasingly contribute to the company.”

The company is looking to increase its position in mobile through further developing its relationships with both handset makers and carriers.

Currently, Reader and Flash are available only on high-end devices.

Adobe is seeking to broaden access to Reader and Flash by incorporating the well-known applications into mobile devices at varying price points.
