Back in the day before Air Force Ones took the world by storm it was the Nike Cortez that ruled the streets. The shoe came in more colors than a box of Trix and were accessorized to the fullest with shoe and swoosh colors setting the tone for your outfit that day. Right now at Nordstrom a pair of Nike Cortez Premium shoes are selling at the same cost as the suede and nylon versions were going for back in the day. If you want to switch it up a bit grab a few pair, it is almost a 2-for-1 price.
Originally designed in 1962 as a performance soccer shoe, this Adidas import was been brought back to life in the 06. The Adidas Chile 62 Soccer Shoe is available in Dark Brown as well.
Puma My Left Foot Button
I almost forgot! This is the other Alexander McQueen Puma I made mention of. This pair doesn’t have the so ugly they’re hot thing going on but they defnitely are not for the average joe chasing Nike AF1′s (Air Force 1′s) or Nike dunks. Much like the My Left Foot Bound these shoes require confidence and risk to wear if you’re a part of the tennis shoe set. Style is required. Instructions not included. Those with Big Berries should have no problem!
Two pair of Puma have been lurking on and off the to-do list for BigBerries for quite sometime. I’m finally adding them because I’ve actually found a pair of jeans to go perfect with one pair and the other the perfect shirt. First up to bat
Puma My left Foot Bound
Initially I was taken by surprise (to say the least) when it came to these but for some reason like that ugly kid who happens to be nice they kind of grew on me, in a “Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome” kind of way. Besides they’re Puma darnit!
There are a lot of “favored” Nike shoes. More AF1′s (Air Force 1′s) than you can shake a stick at and many makers doing some awesome work trying to create something unique. Every once in a while that special shoes appears. BigBerries believes the Nike Air Force 1 Premium by Mark Smith is another to add to the “list”.
When All-Star Chucks and S-Dot’s for some reason just won’t due. Gucci Sneakers may save the day. These only work for the people who don’t follow the pack, dare to do their own thing and don’t mind doing a little advertising. Something I personally do my best to avoid but I really like the raised lettering on the Gucci heel.
The Italian made Gucci sneaker is a significant upgrade from your basic canvas shoe. Available in white or black calfskin with Gucci signature coloring along the eyes. In the photo the shoe appears to look more “vanilla” than “white” so I may have to make a trip to see these in person to be sure. Only a five spot shy of four bills.
Japan has their shoe game tight so Nike has already dropped the retro Cocoa Snakeskin Air Force 1 over there. When Nike first released the Cocoa Snakeskin they became classic but with split views, over time however it soon came to be realized the shoes were a hit, but by then they were gone.
Luckily Nike has been kind enough to rerelease the Cocoa Snakeskin. Don’t miss out this time.

Personally the name is hotter than the shoe but being that it’s limited edition and I’ve yet to see them “put together” it’s better to let you know and allow you to make the choice yourself. If you’re not feeling them you can always throw on a Jadakiss CD.
