T-Mobile Wants More Moola Less Web Use

Handset users milking T-Mobile’s $5.99 data plan might find a shock the next time they look to use 3rd party software to get full access to the web. Ports are being blocked on handsets to encourage heavy data users to switch (away from T-Mobile of course) to either the $20 or $30 unlimited data packages they offer. The reasoning is that the $5.99 plan is for light usage. More►

T-Mobile Rolls out the Samsung Stripe

The samsung stripe

Valentine’s Day saw the expected, but quiet launches of both the Samsung Stripe, and the Samsung SCH U740. I’m sure, to the tech savvy it seems that Verizon Wireless ran off with the prom queen and T-Mobile got stuck at home with the PC and Fleshbot (NSFW).

Don’t be surprised though, if the T-Mob rings up a hefty amount of sells from this $50 myFaves clamshell that sports Bluetooth and the VGA camera. It’s stylish, simple, effective and inexpensive. Just about anytime you throw those together you get good results. More►

The 8100 looks like Blackberry may be stepping in the right direction for non-business users, offering ringtones, video, music and picture functions.
