Man I have been reading on this handset for quite a while. Even visiting websites I can by no means read to get the goods on it. Finally, the LG Shine is making its way to the UK and the US. A part of the awesome lineup of phones included in the LG Black Label, the Shine also known as the LG SV420 is slated to be the next headturning handset. More►

The Samsung SGH A707Samsung and Cingular are starting to look like a dynamic duo. It seems as Motorola is with Verizon so is Samsung with Cingular. On deck and recently reviewed, the Samsung SGH A707

$310,000 Dollar Vertu The Signature Cobra

$310,000 Dollar Vertu The Signature Cobra

Still considering the phone from LG and Prada? Well Vertu, the wholly owned subsidiary of Nokia (according to wikipedia) is taking orders for the only 8 existing Signature Cobra handsets in the world. A total glam device, designed by Boucheron, the Cobra handset includes one pear-cut diamond, if that is not a enough there is another round white diamond, two emerald eyes (for the cobra of course) and a whopping 439 rubies. A version without rubies for the less fortunate will also be available for $115,000.

The LG VX9900 or if you prefer the LG enV

The LG VX9900

With its’ candybar shape, GPS, EV-DO, QWERTY keypad, auto-focus 2 megapixel camera, video and music player, Bluetooth (1.2), push email, 262k color 160×128 display and microSD expansion slot, the LG enV (VX9900) recently received the work over by Michael Oryl.

A few hits and misses, the LG enV could have definitely used some of the artistic design that we’ve been seeing in other handsets, like the Chocolate and the Shine. Other gripes include poor contact management as it has limited search funtions and near deplorable MP3 support. More►

The Samsung SCH V960

info / info

The Samsung SCH V960

2006 is coming to a close and besides the all but forgotten RIM vs. NTP escapade that occured earlier in the year, Samsung has been doing just about everything to mark 2006 as their year. Even as we get our final tuxedo fittings for New Year’s Eve, Samsung has unloaded yet another “world’s first” with the Samsung SCH V960 touting the claim, by way of an optical joystick (like the bottom of your mouse) to help navigate through the phone menus.

You still use your finger to navigate but now you “scroll” over the optical sensor which removes the limitations of the standard four-way nav pad that you’re used to. More►

The HTC Vox is on Deck

The HTC Vox

We’ve been sniffing our traps and getting whiffs of this device for quite a while. Initially the Vox was thought to be a rumor, but like many mobile rumors, it’s true. What you see here, is a near final rendition of the HTC Vox, otherwise known as the HTC S710. The photo is said to come direct from HTC despite the poorly positioned OS screenshot.

The main question we are spotting online is : “Where is the D-pad?” It seems HTC went for other navigation options with the S710. No matter, the phone looks like it has some potential, despite the lack of a D-pad. Now the details. More►

Samsung F500 Ultra Video Phone

Samsung F500 Ultra Video Phone

We recently reported on the Samsung F300 Ultra Music phone, well here is the sibling that we mentioned briefly, the F500. Like the F300 the SGH F500 is slim and packs a punch. While the other handset focuses on music, the strength of the Samsung F500 is video.

The F500 Ultra Video has a 2.4″ QVGA TFT display and will have direct DivX support. The handset sports a 2 megapixel camera and shows its’ phone functions on the flipside, same as the F300.
