LG is getting a jump on the GSM Mobile World Congress by announcing a new slider mobile phone, the LG KF510. Highlights for this 10.9mm thin phone include a media player, 3 megapixel camera and touchscreen display. LG expects a March 2008 launch.

Netflix and LG recently agreed to distribute Netflix movie rentals through a set-top box. Unless LG releases a must have device, this can only be seen as a short-term fix and not a long-term solution for Netflix.

Recognizing the missed potential by marketing the LG KE850 (Prada) purely as a fashion phone, instead of a feature rich, easy-to-use, next generation, touch screen mobile, LG is rumored to be dropping the Prada moniker on the upcoming version of the phone, the LG KU990. The new model will sport a 5 megapixel camera with flash, HSDPA, FM radio, and YouTube compatibility.

LG is looking like this years Samsung, well almost. It seems like the company is announcing a new handset every other day. SK Telecom is their latest partner in crime with the release of the LG SV260.

Specs on the device include a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 2-inch LCD display, 512MB of memory, MP3 player, text-to-speech functionality and the usual for overseas phones, an electronic dictionary. More►
