Blackberry 8100 Unveiled heading to Cingular and T-Mobile

Looks like Cingular will finally be getting a device worth mentioning. T-Mobile and Verizon have been busy both pumping out and announcing hot phones. Finally Cingular looks to be getting ready to get some attention with this new Blackberry 8100.

Cingular won’t be alone because if you look at the photo, you’ll see T-Mobile stamped on the device. If history means anything, T-Mobile may get this first, then Cingular will get some variation.

The 8100 looks like Blackberry may be stepping in the right direction for non-business users, offering ringtones, video, music and picture functions.

Cingular gets Motorola C139 for GoPhone

Motorola C139
Cingular Wireless Go Phone users are getting a new option from Motorola, the C139. The phone is priced at $39.99 and covers the basics. Basics meaning you can make and take calls and text, not much else. Motorola as usual comes through on the design as the C139 shows faint traces of both the PEBL and the ROKR. but the closest you’ll get to tunes from this phone are programmable ringtones. However, the Motorola C139 does let you talk forever. According to specs from Motorola, forever is about 700 minutes. Standby is a little closer to Earth with an “up to” rating of 450 hours.

Visit Cingular and grab the Motorola c139 for $39.99 and get $10 worth of GoPhone airtime FREE.

Juicy Berries

Well PSK is telling the tale about how difficult Ebay is being right now. It seems the Ebay doesn’t want to allow Google CheckOut in its mix of accepted and recognized methods of payment. As speculated this move shows a sign of fear on behalf of Ebay. I wonder what will Amazon do?

 LG VX8500

LG is said to be releasing both pink and white versions of the VX8500 a.k.a the “Chocolate”, of course for those of us who read EM we already knew that. What we didn’t know was that LG is going to be releasing premium versions of the phone with more features. LG was open with the color announcement but tight lipped on the features. We’ll just have to wait and see.

3.2 Megapixels for Verizon Wireless as the company has decided to give the go for the Samsung SCH A990. The A990 is not pretty in comparison to some of the other phones out there but it packs a punch. Speaking of punch (or lack of) Cingular needs to step their game up as it seems every other US carrier has something to write home to mother about. And those other carriers are waving their flags high. Speaking of promotion and advertising it’s so many JD Power & Associates badges I can’t tell if I’m buying a car or a phone.
