As a follow up to the industry changing Nintendo Wii console that completely redefined console gaming, Mario’s company is releasing the Nintendo Wii U come the 2012 holiday season. Powered by an IBM multi-core processor and AMD HD graphics, the compact, front loading system has a much hyped controller that practically doubles as a separate gaming system. The Wii U Gamepad has a 6.2-inch touchscreen, front facing camera, built-in speakers, gyroscope, accelerometer, NFC support, is a TV remote, digital storefront, can stream movies, supports video chat and lets you surf the web. Besides stuffing everything but the kitchen sink into the controller, rolling out with the Wii U at launch along with a bevy of other titles is Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3 and of course the New Super Mario Bros. U.
