A few sites are raving about the Toshiba TG01 Windows Mobile phone as being the best answer to the Google G1 and the closest competitor to the iPhone to date. Apparently the TG01 is the next smartphone scheduled to take a swing at the Apple iPhone.
Right off the bat I love the screen size, but the phone is much larger than I would like and compared to the iPhone it is huge. I mean, “Is that a Toshiba TG01 in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?”
The phone runs Windows Mobile 6 and gives you all the expected Microsoft goodies; like Mobile Office, Internet Explorer Mobile 6, Flash and DivX support. Toshiba also updated the interface to provide the TG01 a unique and fresh appearance.
The Toshiba TG01 smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm chip, boasts a 4.1 inch screen, 32Gb capacity (via microSD slot) GPS, HSDPA, HSUPA and is expected Q3 (Summer) of this year $TBA.
