Apparently NBC and News Corp. have jumped in bed together to produce a YouTube / Google rival. I think we’ve heard this story before, but with all the money rumored to be tossed around the outcome might be different.
Arguments are building on both sides, but so far everyone seems to be addressing the issue emotionally. One side says Google has become arrogant and this is just rewards. The other side cries of old media scrambling to keep our attention by dumping dollars into something they know nothing about.
An example that’s being tossed around is News Corp’s handling of MySpace. On the flip some might say Google doesn’t know what to do with YouTube. As far as that goes I just think outsiders don’t know and are speculating in tech angst.
Day one of the drama and Michael Arrington has his nose all in the stink, with 3 stories on the subject. The other news is that Lindsay Lohan rumored to have found religion and the trailer for Pirates of the caribbean: At World’s End.

Oh a few unpolished thoughts AKA My Perspective
- Money means nothing without direction.

- What about iTunes and iTV?
- YouTube was viral. If the mob of the web decides against it. Money means nothing.
