The Nikon D40x packs 10.2 megapixels

The X in the Nikon D40x isn’t for porn but it’s packing. Nikon may have rolled out the D40 just recently but the Nikon D40x ($800) adds on nearly 4 more inches megapixels making it a under $1000 SLR stud.

Besides ticking off D40 owners and having 10.2 megapixels, the Nikon D40x has a wider range of ISO speeds in comparison to the previous model and up to 3 frames per second shooting.

Less than a second to power up, 2.5-inch LCD display, eight preset modes, in-camera image editing and more if you read the Nikon D40x Press release. Expected to hit shelves in April.
