Last week was a blast! Not as fun as a coke-fueled tour of Thailand but still awesome. 3GSM brought out plenty of handsets to wow us and the release dates can’t come soon enough.
After a hectic day, we glanced back and realized there were a few hot handsets that we missed. Don’t go expecting a surprise comprehensive recap. For that, read TechDigest’s great 3GSM coverage and 3GSM 2007 In-Depth at PhoneScoop. The title pretty much lays it out for this one, the Samsung SGH F520.
Right along with the other most righteous handsets Samsung flaunted at 3GSM 2007, was the Samsung SGH F520. It’s not the iPhone or the LG Prada (LG KE850 if you follow model #’s), but it’s got a wicked 3-inch touchscreen that even Helen Keller could appreciate.
The Samsung SGH F520 gets the works as far as specs. It’s got EDGE / HSDPA, Flash UI, full HTML browser, 3 megapixel camera and an a player that handles media files better than Nicole Ritchie handles her liquor.

There’s also a dual slide function revealing a full QWERTY keyboard from one way and numeric keys w/ navpad from the other. Combined with the 3-inch 262k color touchscreen, in vogue black UI with simple monochromatic icons, the Samsung F520 might just be the Ultra Smart QWERTY for the cool.
