The hot QWERTY from Samsung the Samsung SCH U740 has hit Verizon

We previously reported the Samsung Stripe that is heading to T-mobile. Samsung no doubt serves Verizon Wireless with an all together different affair. Something akin to comparing a bagged two for $4.00 mixed green salad from the local supermarket to something more palatable, like a salad with carrots, snap peas, purselane, shaved zucchini and “Asian aromatics”.

You will most definitely recall the Samsung U740 we recently posted about and its’ dual flip glory. Impressive to say the least. This inspiring little QWERTY has been taking its TrimSpa along with the Samsung Ultra’s and might be the first glimpse of good things to come from Samsung for 2007.

Quick specs for you who won’t be bother to click the 2 juicy links previously prepped are as follows:

2.2 inch, 176 x 220 TFT display, full QWERTY keyboard, Wireless Sync (the Verizon e-mail solution), 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, camcorder, Bluetooth, microSD memory card slot, V CAST Music, V CAST Video and Aim, Yahoo! and MSN IM clients.

Verizon pricing for the Samsung SCH-U740 is $149.99 after the $50 mail-in rebate and two-year commitment. I’m believing that’s online only right now so don’t go rushing the kiosk at the mall. Pricing is a lot cheaper than we were thinking for this goody. Next week should see in-store appearances.
