Now the phone is official. Rumors, tempting photos, speculation and hearsay can all finally stop. The Sony Ericsson W880i Walkman musicphone, brushed steel, 9.4mm thin frame 1.8-inch QVGA 262k TFT display, 2 megapixel camera and all, is ready, willing and able to please.
Bundled with a 1GB Memory Stick Micro, as is the usual with SE Walkman phones, the Sony Ericsson W880i is loaded right out of the box with all of the latest audio programs from Sony, including Walkman Player 2.0, Disc2Phone and TrackID.
Aside from music connectivity is no issue as the W880 Ai has Bluetooth 2.0, PC Sync capabilities and USB. There is also a picture blogging application and a full HTML browser with RSS Video Telephony.
Ample of battery life in the handset as the W880 Ai has up to 6 and a half hours of talktime and music playback with up to 18 hours. Europe gets first dibs on the UMTS 2100, GPRS 900 / 1800 / 1900 band device sometime later this quater, while China gets a variation under the W888 moniker.
