Formally announced this week, was the Motorola Q Pro. The Pro version of the Motorola Q was covered here a while back. The primary difference between this and the previous model are the enhancements made specifically for enterprise users.

Not to say that the earlier Q wouldn’t suffice for business, however, the Motorola Q Pro beefs up the software security, tacks on features of the MOTOPRO Mobility Suite (firewall and intrusion detection), and gets a boost in battery life. More►

Nokia and Visa launch Global Mobile Payment System

Nokia, IBM, Verisign and Visa have come together to launch a worldwide payment system which can be administered via mobile phones. The new system announced during CES 2007 is going to start llightly and expand purchasing power in stages.

Initially users will be able to pay for groceries and other good and services by swiping their phones over a reader, which will complete the transaction. After swiping for payment, you simply press a button on your phone to confirm the transaction. More►

Quick specs include 1920×1200 resolution, 3000:1 ratio, 178/178 viewing angle. Scheduled to hit shelves of your local retailer with a batch of smaller sized siblings next month (Feb) for $999.

The top of the heap FreeAgent Pro models range from 320GB ($230) to a nicely sized 750GB ($450) and come with a six-month subscription to Seagate Internet Drive. More►

Nokia, apparently running the RAZR scheme on the N93 has announced the Nokia N93i. Differences from previous models of the phone include a thinning of the chassis, by a slim 3.2 millimeters, slight modifications to the keypad, sexier front mirror finish.

If you’re a current nokia N93 owner, Chris Ziegler suggests waiting for something significantly better than what you’re holding. We agree, unless of course you just have the cash to spare.

However, if you’re a virgin to the Nokia NSeries multimedia computer goodness by all means whip out your plastic or cash and snatch up the Nokia N93i for €600 / $785 depending on your time zone. More►
