Usually content with phone sell overseas, iMate is looking to introduce their smartphones to the US. Spotted in the shadows of the FCC website was the i-Mate KJAR. Quick specs on this yet to be released device include a TI OMAP750 processor, 128MB of ROM, 64MB of RAM and a 2 megapixel camera.
iMate tries not to leave out expansion and connectivity capabilites as the KJAR has a miniSD card slot, Bluetooth as well as 802.11b. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth is 1.2 and 802.11b just doesn’t cut the mustard in the days of 802.11b/g and beyond. Specs and previous coverage are suggesting this phone may be headed to T-Mobile, but Cingular might nab the iMate KJAR instead.
