So last week, we did a silent release of the Entertainment section of BigBerries. There is still no link on the navigation bar and probably won’t be for some time, but you will have access through the article links. Last week was a post about FMA and the FMA movie release.
This week the release is music and the most current release of Yo La Tengo, I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass. This album is pretty bold and moves all over the place. You have to listen to it yourself to really appreciate the range and emotion, but I like it.
If your office is cool enough to let music waft through the air, here are a few of what I call “office songs” from the release. Track 5. Black Flowers, 6. The Race is On Again, 8. Sometimes I Don’t Get You and 12. The Weakest Part.
In case you are wondering, office songs are the background music to get you through the day and cool enough that the people who usually complain won’t bother you about your music. This release should be bought on the title alone. I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass. After surviving 20 years in the music game I guess you can have that type of attitude.
