The Sony Ericsson Z610i

For the folks who don’t spend $500 dollars on a phone after activation its getting hard. Especially hard if you are trying to distinguish yourself by having a phone different from the mail clerk. Not that we have anything against mail clerks.

However, you are not quite Blackberry ready and you don’t want to change carriers to get a Motorola Q, but you still want more than the $9.99 bargain basement phone.

Sony Ericsson remembers and presents to you the Z610i. Much like the previous phones in the Z-line the Z610i expands on the basics and gives you a bit of fun but not too much. Quick specs include Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, 2-inch 220×176 pixel screen and a capable media player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+. Included in the package is a 64MB M2 stick (Memory Stick Micro) but Sony Ericsson gives you a tad bit of room to breath by allowing expansion up to 1GB.

All in all the Z610i looks to be a perfect way to warm up to the SE brand if you are not familiar and a good holdover until you are ready for a Walkman phone or phone with Cyber-Shot. Expected to be available late this quarter in black, blue and fabulous pink.
