Not content on being in a distant second place to Apple, California based SanDisk is looking to narrow the gap in the music player arena. Today the company offically announced an 8GB version of its Sansa player. SanDisk is suggesting a retail price just shy of $250 and with the introduction of the new 8GB version, other less-formidable Sansa models like the 2, 4 and 6GB versions will receive price reductions by as much as 30 percent.
