BenQ, or BenQ Siemens if you prefer does not rush the press flailng about with every device that is released, but when the company does do something it usually stands out. Not covered often here at BigBerries, we spotted the sexy S68 and had to share it.
Sometime in August, BenQ is releasing a German-only, limited edition S68 made from stainless steel and ceramic. To be specific, the front faceplate gets gloss and shine of stainless steel, while the rear of the S68 gets the ceramic treatment.
Formed at 1350o Celsius, this ceramic is the same caliber used on automitive brakes. BenQ Siemens believes this will lend to resistance against cosmetic damage such as scratches on the S68. In addition, the display also has received a special scratch resistant coating.
