We just got word of a new device form Sony called the Mylo. Mylo stands for My Life online. The Sony Mylo appears to be a go between device, taking bits and pieces from different segments of the mobile market, but seems to be aiming for the SideKick crowd. The Mylo handles web access with Opera, instant messaging through Yahoo! and Google or if you prefer you both can IM and call through Skype.
Besides text messaging through the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the Mylo has a built-in media player which plays both audio and video with a built-in MPEG-4 support. The Sony Mylo has WiFi support and that is handled by JiWire to provide access to virtually every available WiFi network, in your area. The Sony Mylo is expected in September at $350.
