A ways back we mentioned the Sony Ericsson K610, we liked the phone. It rocked. Well SE is making a few changes to the device and providing compatibility for the I-Mode service offered in the UK. Thus the reason for the model number change.

The K610im is the first GSM/UMTS phone from Sony Ericsson to offer full i-mode support. I-Mode is a service offered by providers that enhances email, web browsing and accessed multimedia. The Sony Ericsson K610im is expected to be released during the third quarter of 2006.
