Today Verizon Wireless announced that location-capable handsets are in the hands of more than 95% of the people using Verizon phones. Local emergency systems still need to upgrade to current technology to make use of the feature as only a small portion of emergency call centers (1/3) in the US are able to take advantage of the new system.
