Samsung CEO, Ki-Tae Lee has issued a ban to employees barring them from purchasing the SGH-B570. An 8GB hard drive on a tiny mobile phone induces a lot of fear, in regards to keeping Samsung’s confidential data safe. Samsung also creates thumbdrives and USB hard drives and no word has been issued regarding whether these items will be banned as well.
This is really unfortunate, BigBerries reported a while back about some of the issues Samsung has been having with leaked Samsung data or employees stealing Samsung data and selling it to the competiiton. I seriously doubt this will stop the leaks though, especially after reading what the last alleged would-be thieves did.
A lot of people are bashing and calling this a publicity stunt, instead they should hope this type of behavior does not drift its way into the US and UK.
