Nokia, is following up on the words spoken and ideas revealed not so long ago in regards to extending its relationship with the Open Source community. Today during the World Wide Web Conference in Scotland Nokia announced the release of the S60 WebKit.
Nokia hopes to make the Web Browser for the S60 portable to different platforms and reduce fragmentation and make it easier for webmasters to make pages that will render in mobile phones. The Nokia web browser source code is licensed under the BSD and can be found at webkit.org.
