After passing the Comcast qualification process the Motorola SBV5220 will be available to Comcast Digital Voice customers in the US. The Motorola SBV5220 has a Lithium-ion battery back-up with up to 8 hours of back-up ability. (I’m hoping then of course whoever needs this has a battery-back-up for their TV and computer aas well.) The device can power 2 phone lines from one RJ-11 connector and also can connect to your computer through either a 10/100Base-T Ethernet or a USB data port.
I was looking for some pictures to go along with this post and the above is what I was able to come across, also it seems Time Warner Cable in Central New York already is offering this device to customers. Comcast is expecting a release during the 2nd half 2006. Check the forums for the press release.
