We’re 45 minutes or so into the press conference and no device announcements just yet. I’ll just post what Nokia has said so far that has caught my ears.
- Nokia see the NSeries as a multimedia computer and not as a mobile phone.
- The Nokia Head of Design Strategy spoke and made mention of user orientated computing citing such concepts of of snapping a photo and having it on Flickr in 10 seconds, then in 30 seconds having 5-10 people view the photo then within the first minute being able to receive a comment on your phone.
- Nokia N72 Multimedia Device
2 megapixel camera
Dedicated capture and music keys
Integrated browser
Visual Radio
Colors: Pink or black
MP3 player
FM stereo
- Nokia says MP3 player is limiting, society is demanding for music anywhere all the time and that being able to download and access new music immediately is becoming a requirement. Nokia sees the MP3 player as being an incomplete solution.
- Nokia says they we’ll be the best MP3 playing device on the market says simplicity is the key as the Nokia does not need to connect to another device to access Album, info, playlists and seamless access.
Right now Nokia is highlighting the success of marketing the Nokia N91 as a mobile music device and stressing the musical aspect of all NSeries devices. Stay tuned…
