Virgin Mobile USA offers its first QWERTY handset in the US by way of Kyocera and the name changing SwitchBack. The phone comes equipped with AIM and has an external screen with 65k colors, which is 128×128 pixels in size. The internal screen on the Kyocera is 128×160.
The Kyocera handset has 32MB of internal memory, a speakerphone, and VGA camera. The phone is expected to be available sometime this month. The Switchback was previously known as the KX21 and the Strobe and was announced LAST YEAR.
