Samsun X828 6.9mm phone

Samsung can’t seem to stay out of the news. I love Motorola as much as the next person. I enjoyed the quick preview on the Today Show, where the guest labeled the still unreleased Q as the “King”.

However, Samsung is on a tear! Month after month if Samsung isn’t making a spectacle with 10 megapixel phones, the Samsung employees are getting press by leaking info to the competition.

Now Samsung baffles us all, not with a 8.0mm phone but, with a 6.9mm handset. To top it off the device is said to be equipped with a 2.0 megapixel camera. BigBerries loves 2.0 megapixel cameras, well not love, but anything over 1.3 megapixels is ok.

You spend $300.00 $400.00 dollars on a phone you’d expect more than some crappy 1.3 megapiel camera. Not that 2.0 is sooo much better, and that’s part of the point, since it’s not that much of a difficulty, go ahead and add the 2.0. Samsung understands that, at least with this device.

I’ll have to get my hands on one to be sure. In addition to being 6.9mm thin and having a 2.0 megapixel camera. The Samsung X828 as Slashphone reports has a 1.9″ screen with 262k colors, Bluetooth and 80MB of internal memory.

The phone is only CDMA at this point and GSM availability is in the air.

Now all we have to do is convince Samsung to give the phones cooler names and to create more devices from original concepts as opposed to having phones with strikingly similar designs to other handsets that are on the market.

For the people who note the particulars, the device does appear to be slightly thicker than the much heralded 6.9mm where the camera is located (in photo towards the left), but not by that much as the picture shows.
