Man, I’m sitting here reading and reviewing a few sites, pondering over sneakers and some other projects…and lo and behold I skip past an article about BootCamp!
Duh. I clearly forgot. You see, I was in the middle of confirming my download and I paused it to venture elsewhere. Tabbed browsing does that to you.
Hey, I know I’m not the only one with six browsers open with 40 plus tabs on each. BigBerries says it’s ok, you can admit to it too.
If you have no idea what i’m talking about; Apple has released a Public Beta called BootCamp which allows you to choose between Apple’s latest OS and Windows XP for your operating system, fully allowing you to run Microsoft natively on a MAC, to some it is truly a dream come true, to others it’s a nightmare of the worst kind.
In my opinion, with BootCamp, Apple went ahead and took the split-decision on this one. It’s far better to go with the flow, than to have your OS hacked, (which of course isn’t supposed to be possible in the first place) and then have another operating system installed in its place without your consent.
The upside to this is probably, a ton more hardware units sold.
The irony of the Mac vs. PC conflict sometimes requires you to have lapses in sobriety to understand it. Both Microsoft and Apple are changing and I think in ways neither of the two companies truly understand. Hopefully, this lends to more collaborative efforts, which will benefit the entire industry.
As it stands now people want Apple products as machines not software. If you want, download BootCamp be proud, be a braggard.

Yes people buy macs for the machines AND the software OS X is lightyears ahead of windows and though the amount of software for the mac is much smaller its 9 times out of 10 much better. Quality over quanity
