Kirusa and Indosat have come together to enable both CDMA and GSM subscribers the ability to exchange messages on the first voice SMS system.
Indonesian telecommunication company, PT Indosat Tbk is currently trialing the service on a CDMA network. US company, Kirusa Inc is providing the solution, called Kirusa Voice SMS, or KV.SMS for short on the StarOne CDMA network operated by Indosat.
According to Slashphone the SMS system is the first in the world to support subscribers using both GSM and CDMA phones on the same network.
