First time users are going to have it easy joining the mobile fun. Nokia wants to have a strong presence in emerging markets. To accomplish just that, Nokia has crafted the Nokia 1112, the Nokia 2310 and the Nokia 2610.
The Nokia 2610 is the top of the heap for the entry level handsets. This handset is leaning towards the business minded individual as the device has email support, WAP broswer, MMS, and Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging. The Nokia 2610 only weighs 91 grams and has approximately 3 hours talktime and close to 300 standby. 3MB of dynamic internal memory and 4096 color display.
The Nokia 2310 which is next in line is trend friendly, offering heaps of colors and FM radio with graphics that move to the beat. The Nokia 2310 also offers a SMS editor which helps prevent deleting notes on accident. The phone is fairly light only weighing 85g talktime up to 6 hours standby close to 400.
The Nokia 1112 is the baby of the bunch, user interface with graphical icons. This phone is the lightest of the trio coming in at only 80g, the phone has plenty of talktime, 5 hours worth and standyby around 15 days. Nokia is saying this phone will hit all regions except China at least that’s what I read on mobiletechnews.
The Nokia 1112 and 2310 both have 4MB of memory, the 1112 has a monochrome display with white backlighting, while the Nokia 2310 offers a 65K color display both are 96×68.
All the phones mentioned will be priced from 45 to 75 Euros that’s about $55 to $90 US.
