Ericsson, has been really busy and the projections they’ve made in regards to having a larger share of marketspace on both the consumer and business ends is taking shape each day.

Ericsson and Vodafone Netherlands have partnered together with a 5 year contract in which Ericsson will manage services. Vodafone retains ownership but Ericsson will be responsible for management of the access portion of the GSM, GPRS and UMTS radio networks.

John Samarron, CTO, Vodafone Netherlands, says: “By transferring responsibility and the existing resources for the access part of our network, we are convinced that we will be able to capture synergies with Ericsson and that the quality of our access network will be further improved.

Just over 150 Vodafone Netherlands employees will be transferred to Ericsson under the managed services agreement.
