Optimus, not the Transformer but the Portuguese mobile operator in the Sonaecom group, wants Ericsson for its web protocol subsystem. Ericsson is getting the call because Optimus desires to significantly improve its 3G network through offering quality multimedia services and features

Working with Ericsson opens the door to new possibilities for Optimus, allowing them to provide feature rich servies to their customers, while simultaneously reducing costs and speeding up product and service release times.

An example of such products to be introduced as a result of working with Ericsson will be a service by the name of weShare. weShare allows mobile phone users to share media, including music, photos and video clips while still talking on the phone.
