Rumors have been bubbling for a bit, but today it’s been made official. LG electronics has announced a May 3rd, European release date.

The chocolate phone, LG’s LG-KG800 tempts you with hidden screens and invisible buttons that are sensitive to the touch, responding with cherry red highlights when pressed.

The fire hot LG-KG800 has been on pace of selling close to 100,000 phones a month since its Korean release in November (2005).

With such a progressive design, the LG-KG800 has received some prestigious awards along the way, including both an iF Design Award and Red dot Design Awards for the chocolate user interface and unique styling.

The current version of the award winning Bluetooth enabled handset features a lovely 2″ 262k color QVGA display, 128MB of internal storage capacity, which is expandable through its memory card slot to 512MB, a 1.3 megapixel camera and mediaplayer with stereo speakers.

The feature and function set of the version to be released May 3rd is currently unavailable.
